Cronos Europa - Senior SharePoint Administrator (2024)

We are currently looking for a “Senior SharePoint Administrator” to strengthen the Cronos Europa team.

Responsibilities

The role involves the administration, maintenance, and platform-level support of several large-scale IT systems based on Microsoft SharePoint. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing back-end technical support to the SharePoint Services team and users for all versions of Microsoft SharePoint (2013, 2016, 2019, SharePoint Online)
• Assisting in the preparation of operational procedures for the implementation, support, and maintenance of Corporate SharePoint Services environment
• Setting up, deploying, and configuring the underlying infrastructures according to defined architectures
• Investigating technical issues related to corporate SharePoint environments reported by business and solution development teams
• Facilitating the integration of SharePoint-based solutions into the IT Infrastructure of the Commission
• Monitoring and troubleshooting system stability and performance, optimizing system and resource utilization, ensuring service availability, and reporting on service levels and utilization
• Providing technical assistance and advice to improve the extent, quality, and security of SharePoint Services delivery
• Assisting project teams in defining and implementing technical governance procedures
• Collaborating with IT security teams to monitor systems' security and investigate incidents
• Analyzing requests related to collaboration apps and services based on Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, with the goal of enhancing the section's service portfolio and ensuring appropriate technologies, processes, and sourcing for end users

Profile

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Strong expertise in Microsoft SharePoint architectures and technical components
• A minimum of six years' experience in IT roles, including at least two years in assessing, architecting, planning, and designing solutions based on Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, and related core technologies
• Experience preparing technical documentation for solution implementation
• Proficiency with MS technologies and tools (Microsoft 365 ecosystem - Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, Entra ID, etc. - and Power Platform), collaboration and communication platforms, cloud technologies, and their security, governance, and compliance

Technical skills

The successful candidate will have the following skills and knowledge:

• Expert knowledge of all versions of Microsoft SharePoint, with at least 9 years of experience in configuring, administering, and maintaining large SharePoint environments
• Proven expertise in maintaining and monitoring document collaboration and content management systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint architecture and configuration
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server and Windows Server systems (IIS, AD)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 cloud solutions, especially SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Azure Information Protection
• Familiarity with back-end administration tools (PowerShell, SCOM, other monitoring tools)
• Understanding of network topologies and security principles
• Knowledge of web application development and architectures
